Former West Ham goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko has died at the age of 64 following a battle with cancer.

West Ham announced the death of the Czech former goalkeeper in a post on X on Monday morning, mourning a player who made almost 400 appearances for the club between 1990 and 1998.

Miklosko joined West Ham from Banik Ostrava and played a key role in the club’s promotion to the English top flight in 1991 and 1993.

The former goalkeeper was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 and announced in 2024 that he had decided to stop undergoing further treatment.
